Listen to the children I hear them laughing "Daddy can we go outside and play?" I heard them cry "There's a hole in the sky!" Time to bow our heads and pray Dot to dot And eye to eye Four billion hearts beating in time Learn to color between the lines We can do it Do it Anytime (Hey check out little Miss Ozone Layer Like she's gonna solve the problems of the world or somethin'' Right? Right...) Hop into my sidecar Let's take a ride To where the Cathode Kids have something to say Give me your have and kiss the world goodbye Unless the old men change their Change their ways Much brighter than the sun Is the light that comes from your eyes Not to turn away from the dying day Take a look and pass it down down down the line Dot to dot And eye to eye Four billion hearts beating in time Learn to color between the lines We can do it Do it Anytime

I feel like leaving home But I'm trapped inside our frontier And electric atmosphere Beyond the frontier Outside that bubble of fear What the old have seen and the young will dream And the dome will keep us safe from what we have hear Bryond the frontier As the legion marches through Into the heart of our great city Generating dream With no loss in quality I feel like I'm in a greenhouse And I feel my life is at stake hear Beyond the frontier What's outside behind these walls we hide in anger? What is freedom for a day? What the old have seen and the young will dream And the dome will keep us safe from what we have hear Beyond the frontier As the legion marches through Into the heart of Irie City Beneath the television sky Set to the morning glow of amber I feel like I'm in a greenhouse And I feel my life is at stake hear Beyond the frontier My life is in danger Beyond the frontier

Well there's a real reason why I don't want you here It seems to me that you're always around at the least convenient time With human interaction I'll always turn away From the old world cliches and the enchantés They always lead to nowhere It's like playing with a loaded gun Take a look at my world And if you're looking for a lover They never will discover you Take a look at my world If you're lonely you know that We must fall in love Well there ought to be a law And there out to be a game That we can play for hours Without breaking a heart If I was the president of a big corporation You know I'd take back the toys from the military boys And they'd say: "What the hell have you done'" You know sign language can be so fun Take a look at my world And if you're looking for a lover They never will discover you Take a look at my world If you're lonely you know You gotta take it by the hand and run Take a look at my world And if you're looking for a lover They never will discover you Take a look at my world If you're lonely you know then We must fall in love I see colour and changing shapes all the time A toll-free number Something new for me to buy I see a cartoon girl And she looks so very real How does it feel to take a look at my world? This is my world The world of the teevee Just don't turn on the teevee Turn it on urn it on Just don't turn on the teevee Please don't Don't turn it on

I often wonder if your heart is analog When underwater does it ever skip a beat Our world is really swell We can digitize ourselves And reassemble right across the street I know you know there's still a need for lovers The Damnation didn't change a thing Romantic rendezvous that I would like to spend with you Chernobyl nights and the first glow of spring I'm sending up a message of love Via satellite Go ahead and lay that claim at ground zero Ashes ashes, we all fall down You're such a cut mute the way you glow in the dark I wanna wrap my arms, all eight, around you pilot to bombardier well tell me can you hear Athabaskan voices underneath that silver star? I'm sending up a message of love Via satellite Go ahead and lay that claim at ground zero Ashes ashes, we all fall down Down under the walls To that adolescent sea All those numbers you call Tell me what does it mean Tell me what does it mean I'm sending up a message of love Via satellite Go ahead and lay that claim at ground zero Ashes ashes, we all fall down I'm sending up a message of love Via satellite Go ahead and spend the day at ground zero Ashes ashes, we all keep falling down

Run in a circle to nowhere Playing tug of war with my self control I've had enough of silence I've had it up to here with your touch and go I - I want to run But it's taking all my time All my time Love 2 rock Hate War Stand int eh middle of nowhere Saying that i should have taken the blame And our wild little juvenile romance Was shot down by what's his name But then I - I want to lose control And have fun being young before i"m old You kn ow I Love 2 rock Hate War That's right I Love Sex Hate War Love to ride in my red balloon To rock all the babies who ride the moon Hate the people who skip the beat and make War with the brother of the Middle East Love to love with the rhythm of the mic To Rock your world via satellite Hate the people who's happily make War with the brother of the tripple-C-P

about

THIS IS A TEST! is the 1989 debut album from SOME PEOPLE'S CHILDREN that was never released, but should have been. Definitively post-New Wave progressive, SPC drew from influences as varied as Thomas Dolby, Mike Oldfield, Peter Gabriel and Depeche Mode to create a unique sound that could only have come from South Florida in the 1980s. Digitally preserved for over 30 years, this release captures a unique band in a special place in time.

All profits from this album will be donated to UNICEF. For more details, please visit www.somepeopleschildren.com
